Rosie and I/罗西与我(童话)

Since I was given to Rosie for her 5th birthday, I’ve been taken everywhere, even when I got dirty. Rosie would stay in the laundry room with me all night. I’m a beige teddy bear that has very soft fur, and Rosie would call me Fluff. I’m a very small, flimsy teddy that warms her up whenever she cuddles me. Every morning, she would dress me up in the little clothes she made for me. Rosie’s favorite outfit for me are white pajamas. I thought it would always be this way.
As each year went by, my fur started matting. I usually got left on the bed. Every two to three days I would play with her.
As Rosie grew older, she started playing with me less. On Rosie’s 12th birthday, I was left in the toy bin with all the toys she barely touched. I was at the top of the toy bin, watching her get a new stuffed bunny. Rosie had the same reaction when she got me. She jumped into her parents’ arms and repeated “thank you” over and over. The bunny was a rosy pink knit weighted bunny.
The day after Rosie left for school, I crawled onto the bed. The bunny noticed me and asked:
“Who are you?”
“I was Rosie’s best friend.”
“Well,” she said with a laughter, “I’ll always be her best friend.”
“We’ll see.” I murmured.
Later in the evening, Rosie’s friends came over and she started showing them the bunny. Her friends started playing, hugging, and taking pictures with the bunny. As expected, a few months later the bunny was forgotten. She got a phone and was on it all day; she was calling her friends, making videos for TikTok, and even at midnight she hid under her blanket to go on her phone.
As the years went on, I watched her change. She wasn’t the same girl I knew from before. Before, she was always outside, playing with her stuffies on the grass. But now, she’s glued to her phone.
One day, her mom walked in and asked her to donate some of her stuffies. I was hoping for her not to throw me away; instead, she threw me to her mom with no hesitation. I was destroyed because of what kind of person she became, but I had no choice.
The bunny saw this scene and started chasing after Rosie’s mom to save me. Until a piece of her yarn got caught and she slowly started unraveling. When she finally reached me, the bunny was already one piece of yarn.
Suddenly Rosie put down her phone because she sensed something was wrong. She saw the yarn and followed it. When she found her bunny reduced to just yarn and leftover fluff on the ground, she started sobbing, realizing what she had done.
After a while, when she stopped crying, she picked up the remains of the bunny and stored them in a white flower box right next to her bed. Then, she took me back and placed me on her bed.
From then on, no matter what gift she got, she would still love me just as much as before.
